April Witt is an award-winning journalist who has twice been a
finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. A staff writer for The Miami Herald and
The Washington Post for several years, she was the investigative
teams of both papers and wrote cover stories for their Sunday
magazines.  She began taking photographs while a foreign
correspondent in Afghanistan for The Washington Post. She is now an
independent journalist and portraitist whose work has been
published in newspapers and magazines. She is available for
assignments internationally. Her portrait series
Trance will be
exhibited at Dencker + Schneider Gallery in Berlin, German July 27 –
August 7.
